Writing Guidelines

Welcome to the online home of the Caribbean Union Gleanings! Embrace these writing guidelines to share your stories that celebrate the rich tapestry of our diverse church and faith in the Caribbean Union. Got a story to share with the Caribbean Union Gleanings? Here's what you need to know.

  • Anyone can pitch an article idea, but we're especially keen on hearing from youth and young adults.
  • Make sure your church, school, or institution has a designated communication director/leader for article submissions.
  • Articles can cover a range of topics like church growth, unique programs, youth involvement, and more.
  • Stories should be interesting, specific, and accurately represent your group.
  • Submit articles in English, French, or Spanish, with translations if needed.
  • Send articles to your local communication leader first, who will forward them to the conference communication director for review.
  • Word files attached to emails work best, and photos should be sent separately.
  • Keep your story simple and under 250 words.
  • Answer the 5 W's (Who, What, When, Where, How) in the first two paragraphs.
  • Identify everyone mentioned in the story with their full name and role.
  • Provide your contact info for any clarifications needed.
